Google: Just Say No To IE6!

Thursday, February 4th, 2010

Two words sum up this post: HELL YEAH. :)

Earlier this week I received an email from Google regarding my Google Apps account (as I’m sure all of you Apps users did) and it delivered some of the best and geekiest news ever to be uttered by a large company: Google will be phasing out support for Internet Explorer 6 in their products over the course of 2010.

Now those of you who aren’t as geeky and techy are probably like, “WTF dude?  Who really freakin’ cares?!”  Well, those geeks and techies driving innovation and pushing for the future of our planet care!  With the world finally dropping support for this POS we are successfully able to roll out better, brighter and faster technology to our websites, making the web a better place for all and the devices that you are now using to access it, including that sexy new iPad. :)

So to all the Microsofts of the world, I have one thing to say: Pick up your shit and get the hell outta here!  Don’t like the door hit you on the way out.  Some of us are trying to bring the future to society, and your crappy ass products are slowin’ us down!

Speaking of Ninjas, How About That Obama Dude?

Thursday, January 22nd, 2009

ObamaHe’s only on day 2 of his presidency, and he’s already kickin’ ass and takin’ names. Amazing how we’ve never really had a president that could bust a move, start a teleconference with the Middle East leaders, and put into motion the closing of the Guantanamo Bay facility, and have dinner with his family all in one day.

Now to me, that seems pretty cool, but I’m sure there’s plenty of speculation (including John Cocaine) who thinks Obama rushed things. I may not know a whole lot about what’s going on with all the topics and issues that the government has to deal with, but it’s only day 2. I think we need to get a feel for what he can do before he’s judged 30 minutes after taking oath (twice, I know). As of right now, I see a dedicated American doing the best he can to begin fulfilling his campaign promises. At this point in time, that’s impressive to me.

Overall, I say give the man a chance to show his stuff before judging his abilities and intentions. Besides, the poor guy and his new techie staff are doing the best they can with all that inferior early 90’s Microsoft shit. It would be nice if they could “Appleify” (in the words of our 43rd prez) the government so that they can be more productive and efficient in resurrecting our fine assed country.

With all that outdated crap, it’s no wonder the CIA and Secret Service are security-phobics. Get some Macs. Save the country. Take the afternoon off and golf.
